I invite you to the BASE SCENE course — a solid first scene is the foundation of every story and format. Building a believable character and quickly connecting with the other person in the scene is the recipe for an interesting, enjoyable experience for the audience, but also for you, the performers. If the beginning doesn't go well, oh, it's a struggle afterwards. We don't want that! We will discuss scenes while playing, what to do, which direction to go, or maybe even start over? Why not! We're in a workshop and we can. Additionally, building a believable character that you'll enjoy playing and the audience will like. I warn you, I will interrupt your scenes, comment on them, to put it simply, I will disturb your acting, but all for the sake of a solid, concrete foundation. It is the first and longest-running institution in Poland teaching theatrical improvisation. Courses are led by experienced artists from Warsaw stages, active instructors — actresses, comedians, singers, writers, screenwriters — who have learned from renowned teachers and pioneers of the world improv scene (iO Theatre Chicago, Second City Chicago, Upright Citizens Brigade New York).
