We invite you on journeys, both small and large! You can recall exotic holidays — here we still have lush greenery, vivid colours and sweet scents. Welcome to the greenhouse of the University of Warsaw Botanical Garden.
🕒
Terms of the walks: weekends, 13:00–14:00
📍 Meeting point: Garden Conference Room (in winter it serves as the ticket office)
🎟️ Participation: no registration; places limited to 20 people. To participate you must purchase admission to the Garden.
Walks last about 1 hour.
We will learn about plant adaptations for life in a humid tropical forest — including vines climbing trees; the collection includes several large species of Dutchman’s pipe (Aristolochia) with trap-like flowers.
We will also move to the dry regions of South America and Africa to see cacti and spurges.
On the artificial rocks we will see, among others, ferns, bird’s-nest fern (Asplenium nidus), staghorn fern (Platycerium alcicorne) and epiphytic cacti (Selenicereus).
