In March and April 2026, in the former private home of architect Bohdan Pniewski in Warsaw (currently the temporary exhibition gallery of the Museum of the Earth PAN), a photography exhibition by Tomasz Brzostek will take place. The works focus on the wooden architecture of the "Otwock line." The exhibition will be accompanied by a presentation of unique collections by Maciej Woźniak, who specialises in finding historical artefacts related to Otwock and its surroundings.
Tomasz Brzostek (born 1975) is a populariser of the material heritage of the "Otwock line." He has a particular fondness for wooden holiday architecture commonly called świdermajer. In 2006 he founded the portal swidermajer.info, which became a promotional tool for this unique architecture. Since 2004 he has participated in several dozen solo and group shows in Poland and abroad; his photographs have been presented, among others, at the Nożyk Synagogue in Warsaw, the National Museum in Kielce, the WIZO Centre in Herzliya (Israel), the Polish Institute in Rome, the Centre Malesherbes of the Sorbonne University in Paris, A.R. Gallery in New York and the National Museum of Ireland in Castlebar.
