Is Warsaw a city for people of all ages? Is it ready for demographic change and a society that lives longer? Do we remember that old age concerns each and every one of us?
The exhibition at the Wola Museum (a branch of the Museum of Warsaw) is devoted to the experience of aging and the place of older people in city life. Artists guide us through the theme of old age; works by both classic artists and pieces created specifically for the exhibition are shown.

Presented artists include Władysław Hasior, Zbigniew Libera, Monika Mamzeta, Roman Opałka, Agata Zbylut as well as new works by Janusz Byszewski, Mariusz Libel, Ewa Cieniak, Magda Mosiewicz, Franciszek Orłowski and Liliana Zeic.
The topic of old age is presented from different perspectives: the voices of senior women and men, people caring for older relatives and professional caregivers. Historical and contemporary solutions are shown, alongside projects by institutions and organizations working for social change. Old age is presented as a stage of life, not a problem.
An important part of the preparations was cooperation with senior clubs and groups meeting in Intergenerational Activity Centers. The exhibition will present results of workshop meetings and a film directed by Franciszek Orłowski, expanding the work "Manifest seniorów".
Caregivers (mainly Ukrainians) grouped in the Commission of Domestic Workers present their work through the installation Room Without Doors. The experience of caring for older people is also conveyed by works by Zbigniew Libera, Monika Mamzeta and Magda Mosiewicz’s installation titled Course in Falling Skillfully.
The exhibition draws attention to the impact of the urban environment on aging processes and presents institutions operating in Warsaw, such as Intergenerational Activity Centers, alongside solutions from previous decades like the Social Welfare Home "Budowlani".
The accompanying program includes lectures, conversations with experts, creative intergenerational meetings and presentations of solutions and prototypes. The Association of Creative Initiatives "ę" will talk about supporting social innovation, and with the Association of Theatre Educators participants can work on scenarios for their own old age. The heart of the exhibition is a communal table designed by Ewa Cieniak.
