Project Minotaur is a unique Biodanza offering, exclusively for advanced participants who have been practicing Biodanza regularly for years.
These are workshops whose starting point is standing face to face with “who I am, here and now” — truly, without masks, without telling ourselves or others untrue stories. They invite abandoning what is known and entering the labyrinth with the courage to meet oneself: meeting what is already integrated and what still causes uncertainty, discomfort or fear, what needs to be seen and accepted, embraced. From this encounter one can emerge as a completely new, more integrated version of oneself, if one finds the courage to accept oneself wholly.
The workshops are about searching for and discovering one’s own identity in the face of a changing life. They are not about fear, but about seeking courage. They stimulate connection with the life instinct and courage as action from the heart. How many times do we feel the desire to act, but fear holds us back?
Rolando Toro created this proposal as a result of observing human existence. In Biodanza practice participants’ lives improve and develop in all areas, but sometimes one of the areas hasn’t shifted. Each of us has such areas that are a few steps behind. Rolando Toro calls this a fear barrier — fear inhibits the development or expression of our potentials. In such situations a feeling of being stuck in a symbolic labyrinth arises. Sometimes what we fear most is at the same time what we most desire. “Project Minotaur” was created as an opportunity to meet one’s own courage to live fully and to allow oneself to be who one is.
