We warmly invite you to the next edition of our workshops with the masters! This time we will be joined by Petit Adama Diarra (Mali) and Oumar Ouattara (Côte d’Ivoire). The program includes djembe drumming workshops and traditional West African dance workshops accompanied by live music. For the dance classes, the music will be played live by Petit Adama and the musicians of the band Moribaya.

NOTES:

• The number of places is very limited; registration order matters.
• Breaks are planned during the workshops.

Levels:

• *** Advanced – for participants who have been playing regularly for several years, are technically confident, and ready for challenges
• ** Intermediate – for participants with around 2 years of experience, familiar with bass, tone, and slap techniques
• * Open level – suitable both for beginners with little experience and more advanced participants

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Petit Adama Diarra – a djembe virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist, has performed with leading African musicians and released solo albums (most recent 2022). He is also a highly regarded teacher.

Oumar Ouattara – a versatile dancer and choreographer from Côte d’Ivoire based in France; leads workshops across Europe and organizes cultural trips and summer outdoor workshops.
