The exhibition presents a selection of graphic works created using the traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique known as mokuhanga (木版画), famous for its classic ukiyo-e prints depicting “pictures of the floating world.” The works are the result of many years of research conducted as part of a doctoral thesis, in which this technique becomes a tool not only for creative expression, but also for artistic experimentation. It is a record of trials and discoveries – technical, aesthetic, and semantic. Mokuhanga, although rooted in tradition, has been adapted to Polish conditions, which in itself has become an important area of research. The inspiration for the project was the timeless idea of ukiyo-e – a reflection on the fleetingness of the moment, on a world that is eluding unambiguous definitions. 📍 Location: Offline Studio, Chmielna 10a/23a, 00-020 Warsaw (right intercom 123) 🎟️ Admission: Free The exhibition is part of FRINGE Warszawa 2025.
