7th International Festival of Central and Eastern European Music Eufonie "Afterglows and Afterimages" 🎶 November 13 – December 7, 2025 We invite you to the concert "Surges: Enescu / Wajnberg / Kodály", which will take place on November 29, 2025 at the National Philharmonic as part of the 7th Eufonie Festival. The richness of folk music has repeatedly inspired the "serious" concert repertoire. The originality, sincerity, and vitality inherent in folk rhythms and melodies gained artistic polish in composers' arrangements, yet never lost the authenticity of their origins. This is also the case with George Enescu's Poème op. 1, Mieczysław Wajnberg's Cello Concerto, and Zoltán Kodály's Dances of Galánta. Although these works were written many years ago, they remain in the repertoire to this day and are among the most beloved by audiences. ____________________ Concert program: - George Enescu: Romanian Poem – symphonic suite (Poème roumain – suite symphonique) op. 1 for orchestra and male choir - Mieczysław Wajnberg: Cello Concerto op. 43 - Zoltán Kodály: Dances of Galánta (Galántai táncok) ____________________ Performers: - Orchestra and Male Choir of the National Philharmonic - Gergely Madaras – conductor - Tomasz Daroch – cello - Bartosz Michałowski – choir director ____________________ 🎟️ Tickets: https://nck.bilety24.pl 📄 You can find the detailed festival program on the website of the National Centre for Culture: https://nck.pl/projekty-kulturalne/projekty/festiwal-eufonie/program-i-bilety Organizers: National Centre for Culture, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Patron: ORLEN Strategic partner: Totalizator Sportowy The festival is a member of the International Festivals & Events Association.
