    About the event

7th International Festival of Central and Eastern European Music Eufonie "Afterglows and Afterimages" 🎵 November 13 – December 7, 2025 We invite you to the concert "Nature of the World / Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki," which will take place on November 29, 2025, at Butelkownia in Warsaw as part of the 7th Eufonie Festival. Just as in oratory art, music often expresses itself between the sounds. Such voices can be found in the melodically sensitive and sparingly composed works of Valentin Silvestrov (Intermezzo), Pēteris Vasks (Plainscapes), and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki (Lullabies and Dances op. 47). On the other hand, Conversio by Erkki-Sven Tüür and Tempo di valse from Musica ricercata by György Ligeti are examples of a subversive approach to form. New music – Up by Dariusz Przybylski and Aria by Justė Janulytė – again focuses on the sound itself. Additionally, improvised intermezzos will be performed between these pieces. ____________________ Concert program: - Dariusz Przybylski Up for violin op. 87 - Pēteris Vasks Plainscapes arrangement for accordion and violin: Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki intermezzo/ IMPROVISATION - György Ligeti Musica ricercata IV (Tempo di valse) arrangement for accordion: Iwo Jedynecki - Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Lullaby (op. 76) no. 1 and no. 4 arrangement for accordion and violin: Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki - Valentin Silvestrov Intermezzo arrangement for accordion and violin: Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki - Erkki-Sven Tüür Conversio arrangement for accordion and violin: Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki intermezzo / IMPROVISATION - Justė Janulytė Aria arrangement for accordion and cello: Justė Janulytė - Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Lullaby (op. 76) no. 2 arrangement for accordion and violin: Karolina Mikołajczyk and Iwo Jedynecki ____________________ Performers: - Duo Karolina Mikołajczyk & Iwo Jedynecki – violin / accordion - Tomasz Cyz – direction / director's concept - Karolina Bramowicz – set design ____________________ 🎫 Tickets: - https://nck.bilety24.pl - and at the National Philharmonic box office. ℹ️ You can find the detailed festival program on the National Centre for Culture website: - https://nck.pl/projekty-kulturalne/projekty/festiwal-eufonie/program-i-bilety Organizers: National Centre for Culture, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Patron: ORLEN Strategic Partner: Totalizator Sportowy The festival is a member of the International Festivals & Events Association.
