We invite you to take part in a series of philosophical meetings for people who want to learn the basics of philosophy in a light and accessible form.
The meeting will be an opportunity to learn about the thought of Edmund Husserl, who was the founder of phenomenology as the study of what appears. This philosopher diagnosed crises in philosophy, science and culture, to which his own philosophical project was meant to respond. We will consider what Husserl’s call to “return to the things themselves” means and how to reach the essence of what appears. Phenomenology posed a fundamental question about the meaning that consciousness can reach, exerting an inspiring influence on the further development of philosophy in the 20th century.
