Mediating in the spirit of Nonviolent Communication requires attentiveness, inner clarity and a readiness for continuous learning. Whether you have formal mediation training or have developed your way of supporting people in conflict based on NVC, questions, doubts, moments of uncertainty and situations arise that are worth discussing with other practitioners.
What will happen during supervision?
- bringing your own mediation cases, questions and dilemmas from practice
- jointly discussing conflict situations from an NVC perspective
- practicing mediation (on real or simulated examples)
- receiving kind, developmental feedback from the facilitators and the group
- reflecting on your role, boundaries and responsibilities as a mediator
- strengthening professional competencies in an atmosphere of attentiveness and partnership
We work without judging or pressuring for “right solutions,” with curiosity, empathy and respect for diverse working styles.
Who is this supervision for?
- people who mediate or support people in conflict based on Nonviolent Communication
- people who completed various NVC mediation courses, trainings or postgraduate mediation studies
- people who want to develop professionally as mediators
- people who value learning in a group, exchanging experiences and supportive feedback
- people who know NVC and use it in practice, even if they have not completed a formal mediation course
Supervision is open both to those with greater experience and to those who are at an earlier stage of their mediation journey.
Why is supervision important?
- it helps you pause and look at your practice from a distance
- it supports recognizing difficult and overwhelming moments
- it protects against burnout and loneliness in conflict work
- it strengthens professionalism, clarity and ethical practice
- it allows developing competencies in dialogue with other practitioners
This is an invitation to care for yourself as a mediator so that you can accompany others in conflict with greater ease and effectiveness.
