NARCISSISTIC DISORDER IN GESTALT THERAPY

We invite psychotherapists and trainees to a seminar focused on narcissistic suffering. During the workshop you will learn how to effectively help such people in the therapeutic relationship.

Participants will receive:

• The ability to effectively and deeply diagnose (based on Gestalt Self theory, contact theory and understanding the person’s history in the sphere of relational dynamics in the triangle with parents)
• Understanding of differences between male and female narcissistic experience and implications for therapeutic work depending on the therapist’s gender
• Understanding what therapeutic stance will be helpful for a person with narcissistic disorder
• Long-term clinical work strategies, including concrete tools and experimental techniques, also through the body
• Examples from the facilitator’s clinical work
• Opportunity for personal work and experiential supervision

Facilitator:
Giovanni Turra — psychologist, psychotherapist and supervisor certified by EAGT, vocational trainer in the Gestalt approach (GTK Kairòs Institute, Italy). Giovanni is an experienced trainer and supervisor at the Postgraduate Gestalt Psychotherapy School of the Kairòs Institute in Italy. Trained, among others, by Giovanni Salonia, Valeria Conte, Ruella Frank, J. M. Robin, Gianni Francesetti.

25 training hours (we issue certificates; the seminar meets school and certification requirements, so-called 'free choice')
