We warmly invite you to the exhibition “Cooperations. Ecosystems of Responsibility”, which opens on 14 March 2026 at the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw!
The exhibition presents a selection of student projects created through collaboration between the Department of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and external partners in 2024–2026.
Contemporary design education is not an isolated island. At the Department of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw we understand it as a network of interdependencies — an ecosystem in which every design decision has social, ecological and economic impacts. The exhibition “Cooperations. Ecosystems of Responsibility” presents the results of collaborations that took place at the intersection of academic freedom and market realities in 2024–2026.
The presented works are the result of symbiosis — a dialogue between a professor, a female professor, a student and companies. Students do not appear here as mere implementers, but as critical partners who bring to industry and institutions overriding values: empathy, inclusivity, attentiveness to resources and to changes taking place in the world. Instead of asking “how to sell?”, together we ask: “how to serve?”.
The exhibition shows that responsible cooperation is a process of mutual learning. Professors pass on the ethos of design craft, process methodology and attentiveness to society; companies provide technological workshops and market realities; and students — “like a radar” — detect emerging changes and force partners to revise their existing strategies. This is where design is born that not only fills space, but above all serves it.
