Charger — restorative workshops for people working in education

We invite you to the next meeting in a series of monthly restorative workshops for people working in education. We want to create a space to pause, breathe mindfully and soothe the body and the nervous system. Together we will find room for a pause in the daily rush, look for new solutions and care for the needs of others. We will combine bodywork practices and various techniques of intuitive creativity. It will be an afternoon focused on rest and self-care.

Leader:
Barbara Pasterak — theatre pedagogue, curator of artistic programs, educator, trainer, accessibility leader. Graduate of Polish philology at the Jagiellonian University (specialisation: cultural studies). Coordinator and implementer of activities that bring contemporary art and theatrical activities closer to people with various needs. Author of texts on implementing inclusive processes, building an open institution and cooperating on performative programmes. She cooperates, among others, with the Małopolska Institute of Culture, the Z. Raszewski Theatre Institute and the Faculty of Industrial Forms at the Academy of Fine Arts. Winner of the first Kraków edition of the Animator of the Year competition, among others for implementing projects that include people with diverse needs.

Detailed information:

• The meeting is intended for people professionally engaged in education — female and male teachers, female and male educators.
• Free entry; registration by email required at nhlab@okn.edu.pl.
• The workshop will last about 1.5 hours.
• Please bring an exercise mat and/or a blanket.
• We work in a small group.

Accessibility information:

• Workshops take place at the Norwid Cultural Centre.
• Nearest public transport stops: tram — Teatr Ludowy; buses — Teatr Ludowy and Żeromskiego.
• There is no parking dedicated to visitors at the building. In the immediate vicinity of the building there is no parking space for vehicles of people with disabilities.
• The main entrance is accessible directly from sidewalk level; the doors are wide enough for wheelchair passage; there are no steps or high thresholds.
• The educational room is on the first floor; stairs lead to the first floor; there is no elevator in the building.
• The door to the room is wide enough for wheelchair passage; there are no steps; the threshold is low.
