The band Cheap Tobacco returns with a new record! The premiere material from the album "Wschody i zachody" shows the full spectrum of emotions — from energy and expression to intimacy and melancholy — creating a mature, multi-dimensional story about the lights and shadows of our everyday life. These are stories about a heart that broke, but following Leonard Cohen’s words — only so that light could enter through the cracks.
Sunrises and sunsets, big and small, we experience every day. Also in relationships with another person. Here you will hear stories of disappointment and at the same time of understanding, of anger but also of acceptance and coming to terms, of pain that over time turns into gratitude. About a heart full of scratches and cracks, and at the same time increasingly mature, wiser and fuller — a heart that wants to live in truth, even if it’s not easy and even if that truth is not pretty. Our songs will take you through all these stages. They will help mend the heart anew and look at what is behind us with gratitude. Because in the end the only thing worth staying for is gratitude for what was and for the person who was. It is true that only time heals wounds and if someday we meet again someone who was close to us, we wish everyone that we can ask lightly: "How are you? Are you feeling better yet?"
Cheap Tobacco — creating their original music for 15 years, playing concerts in Poland and abroad for a steadily growing audience. Their songs are good pop, combining the energy of rock riffs with the trance-like sounds of the 80s. They play songs that touch the sensitive spots of their listeners; good, moving lyrics and music of the highest sonic and performance quality. They have played many concerts, including at Pol’and’Rock Festival, Męskie Granie, Sziget Festival and Canadian Music Week. Their album SZUM (2018) was nominated for a Fryderyk. The next record "Zobaczmy Siebie" (2022) appeared on the OLiS charts. The band’s single "Bez Słów" stayed for 4 weeks at number one on the nationwide Radio Dla Ciebie and was song of the week on many regional radio stations. In 2025 the band played again at Pol’and’Rock.
