The market undergrounds in Kraków hide a world-class exhibition. The display is the result of five intensive years of archaeological excavation in the very heart of Kraków’s old town. The museum is designed as a kind of time machine taking visitors from the 10th to the 15th century. Inside you will see chemically conserved archaeological witnesses as well as several hundred exhibits that were discovered in the market square. Modern technology in this institution helps make medieval history even more vivid and engaging.
However, many objects and multimedia attractions are described very sparingly. Therefore, to fully appreciate the exhibition and the uniqueness of the place, it is best to visit it with a guide in a group.
