About the event

Dear all,



we invite you to a special meeting of the Labor Law Student Circle on the occasion of International Women's Day!



This time we will examine the historical and social conditions of women's professional activity in Poland.

Topic of the meeting: “Unnecessary intruders or valuable colleagues? Women in the world of work in the Polish lands at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries”



During the meeting we will discuss, among other things:



  • the first forms of women's professional activity in the Polish lands
  • legal and social conditions for women's entering the workforce
  • barriers and challenges women faced in the labor market
  • the impact of historical changes on the formation of contemporary women's labor rights


The meeting will be led by Dr. Agnieszka Janiak-Jasińska, who will present the topic from a historical and legal perspective, showing the evolution of women's roles in professional life.
