About the event

Sometimes the most universal stories are the ones we write only for ourselves. “PERSONAL THINGS” is exactly that kind of evening – without barriers, big words or distance. In our intimate hall we have only 41 seats, which makes Julia Domańska’s music and lyrics resonate almost like a private conversation.

Julia is a Warsaw native studying jazz and popular vocal performance at the Academy of Music in Łódź. In her songs she combines ambitious pop with the sensitivity of sung poetry. She writes about what she experiences, what touches her and what stays in the mind for longer. She does it insightfully but without unnecessary pathos – so that everyone can find a piece of themselves in these lyrics. In her work you can hear inspirations from Polish classics such as Grzegorz Ciechowski, Kora and Artur Rojek, but all of it is presented in a fresh, original form.

  • Janek Wykowski — keyboards: will bring space and calm to the pieces, inspired by film music and the Polish stage of the 60s and 70s.
  • Łukasz Izdebski — guitar: will ensure a warm, melodic sound, focusing on naturalness and rhythm.
  • Mateusz Tomaszewski — drums: combines jazz finesse with energy that keeps the whole concert in check.

You will hear original material, new songs the band has been working on over the past year, and carefully selected covers. All in atmospheric, light arrangements that perfectly suit the vibe of our Przestrzeń 71.

This is an evening for those who look for truth in culture and want to be close to the human being.
