FUSION BLOOM FESTIVAL in WARSAW

Be a part of the first edition of our festival and enjoy a weekend full of fusion bellydance workshops, performances and the joy of gathering together to share our passion for this beautiful dance form.

We warmly invite you to explore a rich and diverse fusion bellydance program with workshops led by: Cosmosdaughter, Kenzi & Cookie Orchidaceae, Sara Ziółkowska, Iza Cichowska, and Vanja Alibašić — plus a special performance project guided by Donna Anika. Rooted in fusion belly dance, the festival also embraces a wide range of movement approaches, offering space for exploration, body awareness, and artistic expression.

WORKSHOPS DESCRIPTIONS (high-level):

• COSMOSDAUGHTER
  - Welcome to Datura® Style — Saturday 13:00–16:00 (3h)
  Learn Rachel Brice's signature vocabulary from Cosmosdaughter, the first certified Datura Style teacher in Spain. Datura is both an improvisation methodology and a way of dance creation. The workshop covers Datura fundamentals, slow vocabulary, and fast zill combos. Requirements: some tribal fusion experience; bring zills (spare ones available on request).
  
  - Ancient vs Sci‑Fi Fusion — Sunday 10:00–11:30 (1.5h)
  Explore how to evolve old-school choreography into themes like "Sacrifice on a Temple" or a "Sci‑Fi alien city" by focusing on subtle adjustments and details.
• COOKIE & KENZI ORCHIDACEAE
  - Textured Sensings and Shifting Grounds — Friday 11:00–14:00 (3h)
  A journey through grounding, imbalance, movement choices and relational sensitivity using movement and touch to awaken textures of skin, weight and gesture.
  
  - Round and Round — Sunday 14:30–16:00 (1.5h)
  Work with circles and spirals in the kinesphere, changing levels and directions while learning to shift weight lightly and ground consciously.
  
  - What if Your Body Was a Musical Instrument? — Sunday 12:30–14:00 (1.5h) — Kenzi Orchidaceae
  Learn to translate music into movement so it feels as if the song is coming from your body; tools for any dance style to deepen musicality and joy.
• "BALANCE" — PERFORMANCE PROJECT with Donna Anika
  - Friday 15:00–18:00 (3h) + online preparations
  - Dedicated to searching for physical and psychological balance (in the group, in society, within oneself). Incorporates elements of contact improvisation, modern and contemporary dance combined with a tribal foundation. Note: the price DOES NOT INCLUDE costumes for the performance.
• VANJA ALIBAŠIĆ (VANSARIZA)
  - Classical pilates on the mat with Vanja — Saturday & Sunday 09:00–09:50 (50 min)
  Safe, mindful warm-ups combining dance experience and work with injuries. Sessions on mats; please bring your own mat if possible (limited spare mats available).
  
  - Double Trouble with Sara & Iza — Saturday 10:00–12:00 (2h)
  Two teachers, two perspectives, one shared piece of music. Learn contrasting combinations and expand musical awareness and versatility.
