    About the event

After the success of the previous 3 editions, Dominika Suchecka and Hamsa Dance Studio invite dancers and students of Fusion Bellydance (tribal fusion) to: The 4th edition of the intensive stage project: F u s i o n M a n d a l a SCHEDULE 🗓️ - Saturdays, 12:00-16:30 (4h of classes and 30 min break) - Classes also available online: ◇ January 24 ◇ February 21 ◇ March 14 - In-person only: ◇ March 28 (Saturday 12:00-16:30) - staging ◇ April 14 (Sunday 12:00-15:00) - rehearsal - Show: ◇ April 19 (Sunday) - Hamsa Spring Show 📝 REGISTRATION (fill out the Active Now form): https://zapisy.activenow.pl/hamsa-2/ Contact: info@hamsa.edu.pl The stage project ❃ FUSION MANDALA ❃ is the result of Dominika's fusion (and beyond) inspirations and explorations, and her great passion for sharing them with others – both in class and on stage. Dominika believes that through dance, both in its audio-visual (perceived by the senses) and energetic, metaphysical (touching human sensitivity) layers, we can transport the audience to another reality, and that will be our goal on stage! The "side effects" of learning choreography together and preparing for the show will be the participants' progress in fusion bellydance technique, improvisation, and the acquisition of completely new skills and experiences! The course is intended for all those who have mastered the basics of fusion bellydance (tribal fusion) technique, who want more and are open to a new stage challenge. ❃ The culmination of the project will be a performance at the Hamsa Spring Show: April 19, 2026! ❃ As part of the show preparations, project participants will be asked to make part of the costumes/props themselves or with the help of colleagues, which will shine on stage and delight the Hamsa Spring Show audience. No prior preparation is required for this – everything will be explained by Dominika on an ongoing basis. ❃ It is possible to participate in the project without taking part in the performance (in this case, the participant attends and pays only for the first 3 project sessions). IN THE PROGRAM OF EACH 4H SESSION - TECHNIQUE: intensive learning and training (drills) of important fusion bellydance moves such as undulations, bellyrolls, figure eights, pops, locks, shimmies, fusion arm movements, and their various combinations such as layering (stacking movements on top of each other) and stacking (combining technique with movement and arms). Techniques borrowed from other dances (with and without props) - INNOVATIONS: new inspirations, moves, and their combinations going beyond the basic canon of fusion bellydance, giving the overall dance a completely new quality, freshness, and originality. - IMPRO: structured improvisation exercises developing imagination, body and music awareness, and very helpful in creating your own style. - CHOREO: learning Dominika's new choreographies 📍 CENTER OF WARSAW Kopernika 30/319 (near Nowy Świat metro) 💻 ONLINE (applies to the first 3 sessions) via Zoom + recordings Stage rehearsals and the premiere of a mini dance etude crowning the project will take place at the Okęcka Concert Hall in Warsaw. 💰 Price list - Full package (technique, choreography, staging, rehearsal, and performance): 1280 PLN (15h) - Choreography and technique only: 810 PLN (option to pay in 3 installments of 270 PLN) Registration (fill out the Active Now form): https://zapisy.activenow.pl/hamsa-2/ Contact: info@hamsa.edu.pl DOMINIKA SUCHECKA is a dancer, choreographer, and certified bellydance instructor, as well as one of the pioneers of fusion bellydance in Poland. Although she completed her PhD at Warsaw SGGW a few years ago, for almost 20 years she has been professionally and privately fulfilled by dancing, teaching dance, and performing both in Poland and at the largest bellydance festivals around the world. In 2011, Dominika completed a two-year instructor course in Berlin, and since 2015 she has regularly traveled to the cradle of oriental dance – Cairo – to learn this dance at its source and in its most authentic form. In 2015, Dominika won the Teachers Application competition and became a teacher at one of the largest fusion festivals in Europe, Tribal Art in Barcelona, where, in addition to leading two workshops, she had the honor of performing on stage with some of the biggest names in world tribal fusion, including Jill Parker, Samantha Emanuel, Anasma, Olivia Kissel, Philippa Moirai, Hilde Cannoodt. In 2019, Dominika was invited as a teacher and performer by the oldest and most prestigious festival in Egypt, held at the foot of the pyramids – Ahlan Wa Sahlan. Since 2019, Dominika has also performed at concerts and music festivals with her original dance style – whirling fusion. This trance dance combines fusion bellydance with elements of whirling, which Dominika learned in Cairo. She most enjoys performing this style to live music. However, Dominika's greatest passion and main occupation remains teaching dance and sharing her passion with others during weekly private and group classes (at Hamsa Dance Studio, where she is the artistic director) in bellydance, dance meditation, and fusion bellydance at various levels of advancement.
