Rite, Attack, Ride (26 min 30 s) is the debut short film by Weronika Wysocka and Oskar Pawełko, produced between 2021–2025. The project grew from experiences of isolation, overload and the need to recover community, as well as from opposition to systems that exhaust rather than support. The films tell of a group of characters undergoing a ritual of transformation: through performing for the camera, gesture, body and narrative. Queer, feminist and anarchist threads appear here not explicitly but in a surreal visual language that dismantles hierarchies and familiar patterns. Each part of the series builds its own space, full of disruptions, glitches, cracks and symbolic actions. The protagonists are hybrids of literary and cinematic references, operating somewhere between: beyond realism, between what is real and what is imagined. Instead of a single story, a network of meanings is created by sound, image and body.

On Friday the film screenings will flow seamlessly into the Night of the Stream, an event during which the artists involved in the making of the film will enter into a performative dialogue with its emotional landscape.
