    About the event

A native of Warsaw, a Pole at heart, and a citizen by his talent of the world.

He was one of the most famous pianists of his time, often called the Poet of the Piano. Considered one of the greatest Romantic composers and one of the most important Polish composers in history. For half of his life he was connected to Warsaw — he grew up here, was educated here, and here his heart found rest.

On the occasion of another anniversary of the great composer’s birth, you are invited to a walk dedicated to Fryderyk Chopin.

    📅
We meet on Sunday, 22 February 2026 at 15:00 next to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (by the Chopin bench located at the back). The walk is planned to last about 1.5 hours.

    • Where did he live after arriving in Warsaw?
    • Where did the ideal meet the pavement?
    • Where did he learn to play the piano?
    • Where did he play for the first time and for whom did he play?
    • What caused the Chopin family to move?
    • Where did he go for social gatherings?
    • Where did he perform his farewell concert?
    • From where did he set off on his journey to fame?
    • And many others.

    💰
There is no fee for participating in the walk, however if you feel the guide deserves a tip, it will be warmly welcome.

The walk will be led by a city guide from Warszawski Zaułek. You are cordially invited and see you then.
