About the film:
It is 1939. The world is descending into chaos. Thousands of outstanding Poles fall into Russian captivity, where they are subjected to indoctrination as part of a grand plan. An ambitious enemy agent makes it his mission to break the resistance of one of them. He is a young world-famous pianist, respected by his fellow prisoners. His capitulation could lead many others to side with the enemy. Can the young officer — a loving father and husband — win a duel with an agent backed by the power and perfidy of the Russian system? A devious game begins, full of manipulation, threats and promises. Some prisoners hope that returning home is near. Others plan a deadly escape because they do not believe in the enemy's mercy. They are not aware, however, that time is running out and the tormentor may make his move at any moment.
