VI Edition of the Warsaw Photomarathon About the marathon The Photomarathon is known worldwide under the name "Photomarathon" and has been held for years in cities like Berlin, Stockholm, and Shanghai. Its fans travel across the globe, much like participants of running marathons, to take part in this event in various locations and explore their local culture. Previous Warsaw editions took place in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. We are back with an event beloved by all photography enthusiasts. For the sixth time, we will welcome hundreds of brave participants at the starting line, who will tackle previously unknown themes illustrated by eight photos taken within a maximum of eight hours. The task is twofold - participants must take 8 photos in 8 hours, which means it is both a physical challenge and a race against time. On the other hand, each participant must demonstrate creativity, composure, and vision, as the result should be 8 high-quality photographs. The photo themes remain a secret until the day of the contest, when they will be revealed to participants in real-time. What matters is the idea, interpretation, and quality, which will ultimately be evaluated by a professional jury awarding exceptional prizes. Prizes The Warsaw Photomarathon is not only an opportunity to take part in an extraordinary photographic adventure. It is also a chance to win amazing prizes! - We reward the authors of the three best photo series and recognize the best photographs in each of the eight contest themes. - The minimum value of each prize is 1000 PLN and includes items such as electronic equipment, vouchers for photographic gear, theater tickets, and much more. Additional information The contest is open to photography enthusiasts, advanced photographers, as well as amateurs. Photos can be taken with a camera, a phone, or a tablet. With the entry fee, you not only gain the opportunity to participate in the contest but also receive a starter pack: - Invitation for coffee and a baguette at Green Caffè Nero - Water and a snack - A bag - Invitation to the final gala with refreshments, held at the Palace of Culture and Science!
