Together with the Focus Club and the Council of Scientific Circles of PW, we are organizing a photography contest "Technology in Focus". The contest task involves preparing an original photograph showcasing various aspects of technology, e.g.: up close/ in everyday life/ in contrast to the past. Example photo themes: - How does technology impact our daily lives? (automation, drones, solar panels) - What does technology look like up close? (macro-technology, micro-technology, details and structures of devices) - Technology in contrast with the past? (old technologies juxtaposed with modern ones) Each participant of the contest may submit up to three photos. The contest is aimed at students of the Warsaw University of Technology. 🏆 The following PRIZES are planned for the contest: - For 1st place: a brass statuette cast by the Scientific Circle of Technologies and Materials + a surprise - For 2nd place: an aluminum alloy statuette cast by the Scientific Circle of Technologies and Materials + a surprise - For 3rd place: a bronze statuette cast by the Scientific Circle of Technologies and Materials + a surprise In addition to the winners selected by the contest jury, there will be a public award granted based on the highest number of votes cast by students of the Warsaw University of Technology. All participants of the contest will receive a certificate of recognition. 📅 Contest entries must be submitted by September 1, 2025, to the email address [email protected]. The email should include the participant's name, surname, faculty, field of study, and contact email/phone number. The contest results will be announced in October, at the beginning of the winter semester. The organizers will inform participants about the date and location of the award ceremony.
