We invite you to the exhibition of works by Kaja Marzec titled "The Lightness of (Non)Being" at the Ursynów Cultural Center "Alternatywy." The exhibition can be viewed in the Gallery. Admission is free. The exhibition is open from Friday to Sunday. 🎨 On September 12th, at 6:30 PM, there will be an opening event with the artist in attendance. Kaja Marzec – painter and graphic designer, graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (diploma 2018) and biology at the University of Warsaw – explores the tensions between the organic and technological worlds in her work. She is interested in how these two orders – human and mechanical – interpenetrate, imitate, and transform each other. In her paintings, Marzec analyzes how contemporary humans, striving to overcome their own limitations, engage in a race with machines and artificial intelligence. She asks whether, in this pursuit, we lose the titular lightness – understood as emotionality, spontaneity, and creative freedom. The artist juxtaposes massive, geometric forms with soft, organic shapes, creating compositions full of tension and attempts at mutual adaptation. Her signature color is blue – a symbol of spirituality and awareness, but also the cool light of screens, which serve as gateways to the world of technology.
