A walk about PRL absurdities, homo sovieticus mentality, and propaganda.
A walk about PRL absurdities, homo sovieticus mentality, and propaganda.
They - the builders of the People's Republic of Poland, the stars of power in the 1940s and 1950s, comrades, their faith in communism, in Stalin's supernatural powers. How were they trained and how were their characters shaped? Who was perfectly educated, and who had "can only read and write" listed under education? The walk will be a story about the times "when the party was god," about the mentality and attitudes of the era (homo sovieticus). About Poland, which was supposed to become a paradise for communists, about the unification of proletarians across borders in a country where obtaining a passport was difficult. The absurdities and distortions of the era, politics conducted in sunny dachas, artists captivated by new ideas, poets writing under dictation, the language of propaganda, and censorship. 📅: 07.09.2025 (Sunday) ⏰: 12:00 📍: Main gate of the Military Cemetery in Powązki (ul.
