I am pleased to announce that the first screening of DKF CineKlub Ferment 2025 @ferment_dom will take place next Wednesday, January 18 at 19:00, featuring a film by a director I particularly like: Arnaud Desplechin. Presented at the Cannes festival in 2019, THE LIGHT OF ROUBAIX follows the investigation of Daoud, the head of the local police in Roubaix, and Louis, a recent graduate, regarding the murder of an elderly woman on Christmas Eve. The victim's neighbors, two young women, Claude and Marie, are arrested. They are drug addicts, alcoholics, lovers... This stylized social thriller is an investigative film of great cinematic quality. It stars Roschdy Zem (winner of a César for his role), Léa Seydoux, Sara Forestier, and Antoine Reinartz. Dark, intriguing, and wintry, it is the perfect thriller to spend a January evening together, n’est-ce pas? 😉
