SPECTACLE of the Theater of Most Important Matters.
Based on the acclaimed novel by Marieke Lucas Rijneveld 'The Discomfort of Evening,' awarded the International Booker Prize, published in Poland in a translation by Jerzy Koch by the Literary Publishing House.
A girl and her loved ones cannot cope with death and loss. A child suddenly forced to grow up. A small family crushed by great trauma. If they put on armor, will it protect them or imprison them forever?
From the virtuoso debut novel of the Dutch writer, the youngest laureate in the history of the International Booker Prize, the artists extract the uncensored honesty of a child's language.
In the lead role NATALIA LANGE, who also prepared the adaptation of the book.
Directed by: JURY DZIWAKOU.
Guest voice participation in the performance:
Aleksandra Bożek,
Monika Janik-Hussakowska, Kamil Studnicki,
Michał Jarmicki.
Composer: Eryk Arlou-Symkus.
We thank the Literary Publishing House, the author of the book, and the translator into Polish for granting permission to use the text.
