One of the most brilliant comedies written by one of the greatest writers of the English language, 'The Importance of Being Earnest,' casts a satirical light on the lives of two bachelor friends: the charmingly dandyish Algernon Moncrieff and his best friend, John Worthing J.P. Both lead double lives to win the affections of the exceedingly desirable Gwendolyn Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. The gallants must then, with the help of the maid Lane, deal with the tumultuous consequences of their tricks, with jealous fiancées, mysterious lovers, the unyielding Lady Bracknell, and the most famous handbag in the history of theater.
