Carnival with VIVA SANTANA! Cichoński - Torres Band at MECHANIK club
Guitar music lovers of Carlos Santana and pulsating Latin rock rhythms are invited on 10.01.25 to Carnival with VIVA SANTANA! performed by Cichoński - Torres Band. VIVA SANTANA! is a program that captivates the audience from the very first notes on an extraordinary journey from the 60s and the atmosphere of the Woodstock festival to the present day! Leszek Cichoński and Jose Torres with the band will play the greatest hits of Carlos Santana and a few musical surprises.
The unique VIVA SANTANA! program has been prepared by the tireless promoter of the guitar Leszek Cichoński and the Cuban master of percussion instruments Jose Torres.
Carlos Santana is one of the few artists whose hits have been popular in all decades from the 60s to today. His compositions feature elements of blues, rock, jazz, and above all, Latin music. Songs like Samba Pa Ti, Europa, Oye Como Va are classics of guitar craftsmanship and have earned Santana loyal fans all over the world.
Leszek Cichoński - the initiator of the Guitar Guinness World Record - decided to musically honor Carlos Santana. The new project is called VIVA SANTANA! Since it is difficult to capture the atmosphere of this music without timbales, bongos, and congas, he invited the outstanding percussionist Jose Torres to this project.
The band consists of excellent musicians:
Leszek Cichoński – guit. & voc.
Jose Torres - percussions & voc.
Damian Szewczyk - voc.
Tomasz Grabowy - bass
Christian Mora - keyb & voc.
Adriano Brizuela- drums
Maciej 'Mustafa' Giżejewski - congas
In addition to the previously mentioned hits, the musicians will play together 'Black Magic Woman,' 'Taboo,' 'Moon Flower,' newer hits like 'Smooth,' as well as Polish hits in 'Santana-style' versions, including: 'Podaruj mi trochę słońca,' 'Asfaltowe łąki' by Group ABC, and a Latin-rock version of the hit by the group DŻEM - 'Czerwony jak Cegła' - here is the video https://youtu.be/bp9IeqJ0-XQ
