🎉 Cronica - heavy folk

Cronica - a heavy folk formation founded in 2014 in Jaworzno. Their style can be described as a mix of European folk music with heavy guitar sounds.

The vocal layer is created by two female voices, owned by Marta Janas and Adrianna Kania, as well as one male voice belonging to Dariusz Dąbek. As a result of their combination, we get a wide range of vocal parts, starting from classical and operatic singing, ending with growling and screaming.

The lyrics of the songs are largely related to Slavic mythology, although it is not the only source of inspiration for the band. In the compositions, one can hear many references

to Greek, Nordic, Jewish mythology, philosophy, as well as encounter a number of references to contemporary times, humanity, and its existence.

Since the beginning of its activity, the band has actively performed throughout the country and beyond its borders. Cronica can boast of joint performances

with top bands from Poland and all over Europe, participation in many music festivals, including Pol'and'Rock Festival and Slavic Folk Metal Night.

Runika - a band with a charismatic female vocalist, playing folk-inspired melodies in a rock-metal setting. On stage, it combines mysticism with the energy of the four elements, transporting listeners to the times of epic battles, hearty feasts by the Kupala fire, mysteries sealed in statues, and extraordinary beings hiding in forest thickets.

The band has been active since 2014 and plays original songs inspired by tales and legends from all over Poland, Slavic and Germanic mythology, and fantasy literature. Their music intertwines many genres, such as folk, gothic, power metal, and classic rock.

In 2018, the band released its debut album 'Pradawna moc,' and in 2023, the second album titled 'Między światami' was released.

A Polish folk metal band and one of the most recognizable Polish representatives of this genre, deeply rooted in Slavic history and culture. Winner of 1st place in the 'Wirtualne Gęśle' poll for folk album of the year 2021 for the album 'Szczodre Gody.'

The formation was founded in Cieszyn in 2018 (initially as a solo project) by Marcin Velesar Wieczorek – a former vocalist of the bands Goddess of Sin (2001-2007) and Radogost (2010-2014), as well as the creator of the band River of Time (2014-2018). It was born out of a fascination with Slavic culture and history, as well as a love for both metal and folk music. Its main inspirations come from Slavic mythology, ancient beliefs and rituals, but also from fairy tales and legends that are remnants of the rich cultural heritage of the ancient Slavs.

On July 6, 2019, the premiere of Velesar's first album 'Dziwadła' took place. Musicians from formations such as Percival Schuttenbach, Helroth, Radogost, and River of Time participated in its recording. The band's second album, titled 'Szczodre Gody,' was released on October 1, 2021.

Currently, the formation is promoting its latest album - 'Pogorzelisko.'
