'WJO' - ONE PAINTING EXHIBITION. Special guest: MAREK ANDRZEJEWSKI
'Wariactwo' is the title of the latest album arranged by Marek Andrzejewski and his son Michał. In the concert promoting the album, we will hear new, original songs, as well as older, 'classic' pieces. There may also be some surprises, meaning songs by Bob Dylan or Leonard Cohen. Marek is known for his attention to excellent sound and the positive energy of his concerts.
✅ Marek Andrzejewski - author, composer, vocalist.
Co-founder and pillar of the Lublin Federation of Bards. In 2022, he celebrates thirty years of artistic work. Winner of major awards at the Student Song Festival in Krakow, the National Recital Festival in Siedlce, the Castle Meetings in Olsztyn, and many others. In the 1990s, he collaborated with the folk band 'Orkiestra św. Mikołaja' and the 'Gardzienice' theater. As a vocalist and composer, he participated in the performance 'Family Album' by the Grupa Chwilowa theater. He published texts in 'Akcent' and in the magazine 'Piosenka.' He is a representative of the Land of Gentleness - a trend in literary and poetic song. He writes about the relationships between nature and civilization. About joys, choices, emotions, and the search for spirituality in the contemporary, objectified human being. His songs are melodic, optimistic, but also intriguing and memorable. They are not easily categorized, and one can find elements of jazz, folk, bossa nova, rock, and ballads in them.
The artist has six original albums to his credit: 'Trolejbusowy batyskaf' (1997), 'Dziesięć pięter' (2003), 'Elektryczny sweter' (2012), 'Akustycznie' (2015), 'Hasztagi' (2018), 'Wariactwo' (2021) and 14 albums recorded with the Lublin Federation of Bards.
✅ 'It has some characteristic brightness, some youthful cheerfulness, an optimism that is directly contagious to the audience.' - Jan Poprawa, music critic
