Training for individuals who want to build or enrich resources useful in preparing and conducting their own workshops, meetings, and group processes for adults in the areas of sexuality, gender, and body contact.

During the training, I will share key elements of pedagogical knowledge gathered over the years, which over the last 7 years has allowed me to conduct over 300 original workshops on sexual development for adults. Alongside the stages of creativity, planning, and registrations, we will focus on the stage of facilitation; we will discuss ways to create a safer space for development, dealing with difficult situations, and consciously exercising power.

DAY 1 – creation, planning, registrations

– paths of inspiration, or how to come up with workshop topics while maintaining a balance between taking and giving

– skeleton, or the basic structure of a workshop, methods of planning, consciously choosing the level of directiveness, and drawing from the wisdom of the group

– learning through discovery and experience and their challenges in the context of sexuality

– ways of interaction and their functions (working with the whole group, in groups, in pairs, individually)

– time planning

– when, why, and how to abandon the plan

– how to create a workshop description that makes people want to attend

– marketing in the age of word censorship $€*$ – registrations, or the beginning of a relationship.

DAY 2 – facilitation, safety, power

– specific challenges of group work on the topic of sexuality

– how to create a safer space for development: contract, language of instruction, supporting voluntariness, and setting its boundaries

– the ego of the facilitator, or between imposter syndrome and being a cult guru

– conscious exercise of power, the responsibility of the facilitator, the spectrum of exerting and receiving influence

– the loneliness of being in the spotlight and how to cope with it

– considering the systemic aspect, or how not to be a cog in the machine of the capitalist happiness industry

– and what if… that is, difficult situations and how to deal with them.

The training will take place in person at the Institute of Positive Sexuality in Warsaw on Saturday-Sunday, January 11-12, 2025, from 10 AM to 7 PM with a one-hour lunch break organized independently (you can go to one of the nearby eateries or bring your own food; an electric stove, pots, and dishes will be available).

Participants attending both full training days will receive personalized certificates.

A month after the training, on Saturday, February 8 at 10 AM, I invite interested individuals to a 1-2 hour (depending on the number of participants) online meeting, during which there will be an opportunity to discuss how the training material is working for you, consult your workshop plans or new thoughts, reflections, threads, and questions.

Facilitation

Agnieszka Szeżyńska - sexuality trainer for adults, consent educator on the path to certification in the Circle of Consent model, linguist, trainer of critical and systemic thinking. She conducts workshops and body work sessions, helping clients build embodied lives and relationships based on the foundations of consent, care, and a sense of safety. In her work, she combines threads of individual agency with the challenges of functioning in systems that enforce bodily obedience.

She helps educators and individuals facilitating developmental processes, as well as institutions, to name the challenges arising at the intersection of consent and hierarchy, to exercise power consciously of their privilege, and to create systems that learn and actively care for the well-being of the individuals within them, their right to self-determination, and freedom from systemic violence.
