{MIOOD}
Miood was formed in 2014 in 'Józek' near Warsaw. It was then that, by coincidence, Szaweł Płóciennik - a painter, performer, and comic book creator (including the graphic novel about 'Pinkim,' published by Kultura Gniewu) as well as a vocalist of the bands Żelazna Brama and Apacze, met three friends who were rehearsing in a studio belonging to the band 52um. Brothers Piotr (drums) and Grzegorz (guitar) Januszek and Szymon Łapiński (bass, guitar) presented a few tracks to Szaweł, and since then the four have been inseparable. Miood released the album 'It Could Be Nice' (cassette, CD) in 2015, which was released by the Californian label Wiener Records. In the meantime, the single 'Honeymoon' was released, positively reviewed by CGM and Robert Brylewski himself, who wrote: 'the Adam Słodowy Promotion Studio recommends this position to you. Currently - my number 1 on the national chart.' Miood has played many concerts, including alongside the legendary group Kryzys and also with the band 52um. Stylistically, Miood pays homage to the rawness of the sixties filtered through the roughness and edginess of grunge. On the new album, which was released in December 2024, under the label Biblioteka Records, you can hear inspirations from cold wave and bands in the vein of Joy Division, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, or The Cure. Guest musicians on the album include: Paweł Stawarz (vibraphone, keyboards) from the band 52um, Jan Olejny (saxophone), and the Arte string quartet.
MIOOD will perform with the lineup:
Szaweł Płóciennik - vocals, guitars
Szymon Łapiński - bass, guitars
Grzegorz Januszek - guitars, bass
Piotr Januszek - drums

{MORIS BLN}
Antoni, a keyboardist, but also skilled at playing other instruments, recalls the beginnings like this: there was some Facebook group in the style of 'Looking for a band, looking for a musician,' and Jędrzej posted an ad there. At that time, he was still active in that group under a pseudonym, as Antek something. I replied to him, 'ho ho, hi namesake,' and he answered, 'no no, this is not my real account.' And that he is Jędrzej. By coincidence - though perhaps not entirely strange, as all band members come from the Bielany district of Warsaw - shortly after, Antoni's girlfriend almost mistook Jędrzej for her boyfriend while riding a tram. The reason? They had the same glasses frames - the keyboardist recounted. The frames are from the company Morris. That's where the band's name comes from. ----- We play music inspired by the sound of the 60s, based on the characteristic sound of keyboards, and it's not hard to find a love for Polish music, for example, Brygada Kryzys or Świetliki. However, all of this is nurtured on our own ground, on the soil of our friendship from the Bielany estate. We never really thought that we would ever even appear on the radio, so from the beginning, we create entirely for ourselves and for us. However, it finds admirers, and we thank everyone for that. ---- Now, already as completely seasoned, experienced, and close-knit - we have composed our first mature material, a mini-long 'Dzień powszedni, sobota, święto' (the title is a tribute to timetables). It is promoted by the single '1999' with a music video and the song 'Nie pal WIEDŹMY, SPAL MARZANNĘ,' featuring Marian Lichtman.
