Our cycle* combines two approaches: Gestalt and Body-Mind Centering®. Through their integration, we invite exploration in which the body becomes both a carrier of recorded experiences and a filter through which we connect with the surrounding world.
During the meeting on January 18, we will explore the psychophysical states between fear and courage through writing and speaking inspired by the Gestalt approach and embodiment using the Body-Mind Centering® approach.

In the part inspired by the Gestalt therapeutic approach, we will talk about the ambivalence of fear as a tension that inhibits expression and at the same time excitement that stimulates action and expression. We will reflect: what does it mean to dare, is there a scale on which fear and certainty weigh against each other? We will write and talk, expressing moments of fear and courage in our lives. Through creative and relational exercises, we will increase awareness of the presence of fear and courage in the body. Gestalt is a phenomenological and holistic approach: the living, feeling body and awakened, curious consciousness will intertwine within us and between us.

In the part of the workshop focusing on embodiment, we will work with the endocrine system, which influences our emotional experiences. The adrenal glands and thymus are not only physical structures but also centers of emotions, internal rhythms, ways of acting in the world, and building our emotional relationships with others. We will immerse ourselves in these subtle spaces to discover the dialogues that take place within us. Through experiments with movement and touch, we will explore how conscious work with endocrine glands affects our ability to feel, create, and change our relationality with others and the world.

The Body in Relation is an original workshop cycle by Tomek, Yuliya, and Tomek, friends who decided to meet two approaches - Gestalt and BMC. The first workshops where we worked at the intersection of these two approaches took place on October 19. We explored relationality, life stories, in connection with the embodiment of our organs - intestines and heart.
