Circle and concert - a meeting with IZI and RAFAEL

We invite you to celebrate the beginning of the New Year 2025 with music.
We invite you to a unique Therapeutic Singing session, with the wonderful guests and co-creators Izi and Rafael - a couple trying to find order and beauty in the world with the help of music, art, and nature.

This meeting aims to support us in celebrating our achievements, insights, and knowledge, and to consciously make space for the new qualities of 2025.

Meeting, workshop in a circle, and concert.

What will happen? What will you experience?
Through exercises and conversation, we will create a circle of closeness and openness. We will talk about what lies ahead in 2025, and share our reflections.
We will experience the opening of the voice and the joy of singing meditation, singing together Izi's songs with the pulsating rhythm and energy of Rafael's drums.
We will flow with the music towards meeting ourselves, hearing ourselves, and being with others.
We will be in a circle, share our gifts, celebrate, and finally receive a beautiful gift -
a concert by the extraordinary pair of Artists - Izi and Rafael.

However, we also have an invitation for you to share something you want to let go of from your closet, bookshelf, or treasure box. Why is it worth it?
Singing liberates, opens, cleanses, is one of the tools for communication with oneself and others, for being in relationships, is an extension of speech, helps to relax oneself by loosening the vagus nerve. It gives a sense of freedom and lightness. It is a way of expressing oneself in pure energy.

What will the meeting look like?
* The meeting will begin with a short meditation about oneself and what you bring, aimed at connecting with oneself and others and grounding
* Then there will be an opportunity to share your reflections and expectations
* During the meeting, based on simple exercises, we will work with breath, sound production, but also with openness to rhythm, melody, and harmony
* … and above all, we will learn and sing Izi's songs together, mantra-ing them, improvising around them, based on the melody and rhythmic, pulsating support of Rafael
we will also invite the body, movement, dance - the best friends of cleansing and releasing
through various exercises we will invite ourselves to marvel at ourselves in the past year and share the gifts we have brought.

The meeting has a developmental purpose, it is not a therapeutic group.

About the facilitators:
Izi “SłowoDaję” Skorupka -
I am an educator, writer, poet, composer, vocalist, theater and music instructor, illustrator, and painter. I write books and scripts (including my published novel - “Marcelina and the Memory of Ancestors”). I love creating poetry and songs. I compose to my own texts and perform my works. I recently recorded my first album - “I Have Returned” - it was a great joy. I improvise on stage
(and off it) I talk, I love swimming, dancing, sailing, movement, and well-being of the body. I am a vegetarian and an enthusiastic cook. I love people and as a cultural anthropologist and theater educator, I closely observe them. People, creative, energetic, and spontaneous beings are my inspiration. I love working with them and creating for them. Hence the idea to establish the educational initiative Tworzy MY. For over 15 years, I have been conducting theater and music classes for children and youth. I co-created a music education program for babies, children, and parents. I work with people of all ages. My desire is to connect people, and thus generations, and open them to healthy communication with themselves and others. For half a year, I have been developing with Rafael - my partner the initiative TECOLOTE - arte encontrado, which is about seeking art in the least expected places. I love being a mother. I have three sons (two already adults and a seven-year-old). I believe that relationships, art, and authenticity are the most important tools in working with people and being with them.

Rafael Martinez
I was born in Honduras. I lived many years in Mexico and have been in Poland for eight years. It is an interesting and not always easy experience for me.
In the darkness of the night, the stars help us with their light to reach our goal, this is how I go through life. My passions accompany me - music, art, and nature.
The joy of listening to musical notes, in the company of a song that is something more than good intonation. It is a story of truth about love, the pain of freedom. This is my passion.
The rhythm that awakens the soul to action, that pulsates and moves. It gives motivation to go further. The drums listen to me and I listen to them. This is my passion.
Accompanying colors, shapes, glows, and emotions, art - conveys to us truth and love, in each of its manifestations. Creating, sculpting is meditation and joy. This is my passion.
All of this together - this composition, makes me continue this path or simply tell about my loves, which I live every day.

I am life.
I am light energy and every day I learn from my mistakes, so I can build my dreams and have a spiritual balance that allows me to live in harmony and happiness.

Kasia Paterek - a trainer, engaged in psychological support, social animator, activist, social worker. She works, among others, using SFBT (Solution-Focused Brief Therapy) and process psychology.

Therapeutic Singing is a meeting aimed at people who want to and like to sing, but also for those who have various kinds of blocks, shame, or doubts in singing, and at the same time may not have talked about it yet, or do not know what to do with it. Singing is one of the very important tools in communication with other people, a way to express oneself, it allows for the release of tensions and emotions. We will tell, experience, and live through. Therapeutic Singing was born in 2017, it happens in Warsaw and in many cities and towns in Poland - it has also been outside Poland - in Switzerland, Spain, and Portugal 🙂
