We collaborate with the Medical Simulation Center of WUM, the Medical Simulation Department of WIM-PIB, and with professionals in soldier training and special forces.

SKN Black Hawks is a student circle of the Medical University of Warsaw operating at the Military Medical Institute - PIB. It is being reactivated in a NEW FORM. The program will include elements of general surgery and tactical medicine.

We want to meet the needs of future civilian doctors, considering the fact that ALL CIVILIAN DOCTORS are in MILITARY RESERVE (passive).

Participants in the classes will acquire basic skills in tactical medicine and the opportunity to obtain various types of certificates at the intersection of emergency medicine and battlefield medicine. We focus on PRACTICE and MINIMUM THEORY

Thanks to cooperation with CSM WUM and OSM WIM-PIB, classes will be conducted using MODERN EQUIPMENT and by PROFESSIONALS, who will passionately share theoretical and practical knowledge in accordance with current standards.

The program of classes is arranged to create a coherent whole, therefore participation in all classes is required (meetings 1x/month)

QUALIFICATION FOR THE CIRCLE will take place online based on an application and a simple test, which must be completed by December 31, 2024.

Classes will start in January 2025.

Additionally, for interested individuals, we plan to organize a camp during the summer: training in water and on land, teaching among others how to retrieve an injured person from the water, how to care for them on land, and a Combat Trauma Management course (utilizing basic and advanced knowledge in providing aid to the injured on the battlefield and in challenging conditions).

The invitation to participate in the circle is primarily directed to WUM medical students in their 4th, 5th, and 6th years, but we wish to extend the opportunity to students from nursing and emergency medical services.
