On November 15-17, 2024, at the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw, the next edition of the only cyclical review of ethnographic films in Poland, 'Eyes and Lenses' number 18!
The Ethnographic Workshop Association will take you on a cinematic journey to many corners of the world. Before you are 19 screenings, in which you will hear, among others, the voices of women from various countries, people in homelessness crises, or those migrating from Africa to Europe. You will be able to follow the global circulation of indigenous music, get lost in the Brazilian jungle, or find peace observing the daily lives of Orthodox nuns. 'Eyes and Lenses' is also an opportunity to meet anthropologists: through the films they created, on screens as characters, and live during discussions accompanying the screenings.
The screenings will be accompanied by meetings with the creators, a concert by Trio Januchta/Bikont/Duszyński, a debate, and workshops for children.
This year, for the first time, selected films will also be available online on the VOD Warsaw platform from November 18 to December 2, 2024.
A detailed program and links to the reservation system for free tickets for specific films can be found at https://oczyiobiektywy.pl/.
Tickets can also be picked up at the Museum's box office. It is possible to reserve tickets for individual screenings or for full days of the review. NOTE: if you do not plan to attend the entire day of screenings, please select tickets for individual films.
Admission to all events is free. However, we count on your support in the form of donations, which will help realize and develop 'Eyes and Lenses': https://etnograficzna.pl/wplata/.
