'Andrzej Zaucha SongBook' – Jazz arrangements of songs by Andrzej Zaucha
November 15 (Friday), 7:00 PM
Community Center, Obozowa Street 85
Tickets: 40 PLN >> https://biletyna.pl/koncert/Andrzej-Zaucha-SongBook-Jazzowe-opracowania-piosenek-Andrzeja-Zauchy
This is a concert dedicated to the outstanding Polish vocalist Andrzej Zaucha. The concert program consists of songs arranged chronologically, according to their recording dates. This order of songs excellently highlights the artist's artistic journey and interestingly shows the direction of the development of his artistic language. You will hear, in addition to well-known hits such as 'Byłaś serca biciem' or 'Siódmy rok,' many other forgotten songs that have been resting on archival shelves for over three decades, and after years will experience their next premiere, but in a jazz version.
Janusz Szrom, a leading Polish jazz vocalist and the main initiator of the project, is also the author of the sheet music arrangement of all the songs performed by Andrzej Zaucha, which has been published in the form of three volumes titled 'Andrzej Zaucha SongBook.' The title of the concert was taken from this collection. The other musicians are leading representatives of the Polish jazz scene. Therefore, we offer you a concert that we hope will be an extraordinary event. They will perform:
Janusz Szrom - vocals
Andrzej Jagodziński - piano
Andrzej Łukasik - double bass
Sebastian Frankiewicz - drums
