We invite you to a musical evening that will transport us to New York clubs, where hot rhythms and the elegant style of musicals from the 1920s and 1930s resonate.
The concert 'A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald' performed by Agnieszka Kledzik and her band is a journey back to the golden age of jazz, featuring excellent arrangements and a unique atmosphere.
The artists will perform songs based on black music emerging from the African American community in New Orleans, but the authors of the biggest hits, jazz standards such as 'The Man I Love' and 'Cheek To Cheek,' were New Yorkers, often descendants of Polish Jews from the Russian partition.
West African influences intertwine on American soil with Central European folk music and Brazilian bossa nova, and even with Italian opera, creating a truly explosive mix.
The patron of the repertoire is Ella Fitzgerald, the 'first lady of song,' an icon and an unattainable model.
English-language songs in our arrangement will be preceded by short stories about the songs and their authors.
