A section of the underground workings is traversed on foot, and 1100 meters is a unique underground boat ride. During the boat passage under the very center of the 170,000-strong city, one can encounter the legendary Treasurer or Water Sprite of Upper Silesia. There are also underground ports, passing places, the sounds of dripping water, and the unique chiaroscuro that prevails throughout the underground.
Tour of the historic Ignacy mine in Rybnik – This is one of the more interesting revitalizations and new adaptations of a historic site in Poland. It is located on the site of the former Hoym coal mine, which was established as early as 1792. For 216 years, black gold was extracted here. Here we will listen to incredible industrial stories and marvel at the green Upper Silesia. At the 'Age of Steam' exhibition, we will learn about the machine that initiated the industrial era and changed the face of Europe. Here we will see with our own eyes how a steam engine works.
