The 2nd edition of the Asian Literature Festival is a space for discussion about literature from geographically and culturally distant regions of the world.
Festival meetings with translators and specialists, lectures, and debates are dedicated to a spectrum of literary issues: from contemporary classics to the voices of a new generation, to Asian science fiction and fantasy, or the phenomenon of comfort read literature. There will also be a conversation about the motif of vampire beings in Asian cultures and… cats in Japanese literature.
FLA 2024 will also feature a fair section with booths from leading publishers, a meeting area with authors writing about Asia, specialized workshops, and attractions for families with children.
This year's edition will be opened by a performative reading of The Sleeping Beauty by Yasunari Kawabata.
A list of exhibitors and the full program are available on the Museum's website.
