“Wanda Rutkiewicz. The Last Expedition” by Eliza Kubarska, which will be presented to youth on October 18 on the day of its theatrical premiere, tells the story of the first woman in the world and the first person from Poland to reach the highest peaks of the Earth. Wanda intruded into the male world of high-altitude expeditions uninvited and paid the highest price for it. The film's director, who is also a climber, follows in Wanda's footsteps in the Himalayas. → 17.01. Football is not just a game for boys
In the summer of 1971, the best women's teams competed in football in Mexico. Copa 71 still ranks in history as a women's sporting event that – without FIFA's support – achieved tremendous success and attracted the largest audience in history. So why has it not been recorded in public consciousness? The film “Copa 71” by Rachel Ramsay and James Erskine tells the story of the long struggle for equality in women's football. Can we now speak of equality in women's sports? The meeting with youth after the screening on January 17 will be led by sports journalist Piotr Żelazny.
