We have a great opportunity to briefly return to the readings from our school years and rediscover the magic of the exceptional work of Aleksander Fredro. 'Zemsta' provokes laughter and reflection. It draws the audience into a world full of contrasts and surprising twists. We warmly invite you to the performance of the Polish Classics Theatre directed by Michał Chorosiński. 'Zemsta' by Aleksander Fredro is a comedy in four acts. It tells the story of a conflict between neighbors, Rejent Milczek and Cześnik Raptusiewicz, who are engaged in a fierce dispute over a castle. Their mutual skirmishes and intrigues lead to many amusing situations.<br
A key role in the play is also played by the story of the youngest characters – the somewhat scatterbrained Klara and Wacław. The young couple is in love, but they cannot plan a future together due to the hostility between their families. Is there a chance to resolve the dispute?<br
The Polish Classics Theatre presents the most outstanding works of Polish theatrical art. As we read on the Theatre's website: “Classics are more than contemporaneity. They are a carrier of memory and identity, as well as a proven instrument for viewing contemporaneity. Classics allow us to look at the present from a distance while simultaneously delving into its invisible corners.” On the stage of the Białołęka Cultural Center, we will see excellent actors who will masterfully convey the character and humor of the characters created by Fredro.
