The screening will be preceded by a lecture by curator Dr. Diana Dąbrowska, who will present the profile of the creator, introduce the themes of the work, and provide insight into the political and social realities of its creation. Harry (Lars Ekborg) and Monika (Harriet Andersson) live in a bleak, perspective-less reality. He works in a porcelain warehouse, she in a vegetable shop. When Monika loses her job in the summer, they decide to leave Stockholm, seeking to escape the gray, depressing life. The boy steals his father's motorboat, and they both flee into the unknown. As the end of summer approaches, they return to the city.

Dr. Diana Dąbrowska - film scholar, cultural animator, graduate of cultural studies at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Łódź. Her texts have appeared in magazines such as 'Znak,' 'Kino,' 'Ekrany,' and on the virtual pages of Filmweb and Liberal Culture. In 2022, she received the PISF award in the category of 'Film Criticism.' Since 2019, she has been the artistic director of the Hommage a Kieślowski film festival in Sokołowsko.
