'TOGETHER'
Activities for youth with intellectual disabilities (ages 15-18).
The main goal of art therapy is to optimize the quality of life, which involves preventing life difficulties and overcoming obstacles on the path to independence and self-realization.
During the therapy, we will work on personal development. The activities aim to enhance self-esteem, develop emotional awareness, and improve social skills.
The program includes, among others, activities focused on understanding emotions, various forms of their expression, recognizing and articulating one's needs; understanding personal boundaries; learning the principles of communication, assertiveness, and collaboration in a group. Therapeutic methods used: drama therapy, drama, choreotherapy, sensory plasticity, art therapy, play pedagogy.

About the leader – Ewelina Burczyńska
Art therapist – specializations: drama therapist, educator. She completed the Study of Therapy through Art and numerous courses and workshops related to art therapy, non-directive therapy, social skills training, and play therapy. Certified trainer of the ART-TES® program and Sensoplastyka. She attends the Drama Trainers School 'Drama Way.' Associated with Unique Art since 2014, as a volunteer of the Therapeutic Theatre OD-NOWA. Since 2017, she has been an assistant in art therapy classes – drama therapy for individuals with intellectual disabilities. She gained professional experience: - as an assistant to adults with disabilities; - at the Club Café Life is Cool; - in primary schools, as a supporting teacher. Preschool teacher, leading an integrative group. She specializes in therapy for children through play and art therapy. Since 2021, she has been working as an independent therapist under the supervision of Patrycja Bartoszak-Kossakowska. In 2022, she founded the company 'Look into Yourself,' which operates in cooperation with Unique Art and offers activities for children and youth with intellectual disabilities.
