This course is aimed at doctors who want to start performing onlay/endocrown restorations. We present simple, proven, and effective methods to be applied in any practice. We share years of experience, practical ways to overcome clinical and motivational problems.
Training program
Theoretical part:
1. Teeth after root canal treatment - causes of failures.
2. Onlay, overlay vs. Crown – comparison. Approach to solving the problem of tooth tissue loss. Advantages and disadvantages of both solutions.
3. Materials for tooth restoration: metal, ceramics, composite - pros and cons
4. Tooth preparation for onlay/endocrown – video
5. Presentation of impression taking
6. Temporary restoration.
7. Quality control of the prosthetic laboratory work, fit control of the restoration in the oral cavity.
8. Principles of adhesive cementation
9. Use of a rubber dam.
10. Bite correction, finishing the work
Practical part:
1. Preparation of a molar tooth on a model for endocrown/overlay
2. Preparation of a premolar tooth on a model with cosmetic preparation of the buccal wall
3. Demonstration of impression taking 'live with a patient'
4. Fitting and adjusting a previously prepared restoration - hands-on procedure on one's own model
5. Placing a rubber dam using a simple method - each individually on their own model
6. Cementing the restoration - each on their own model with practice on applying teflon isolation
7. Removing excess cement and finishing the work
Each participant receives
a composite model of the dental arch made in 3D technology with teeth to be prepared
and a restoration for self-cementation on the previously prepared tooth
