Until 9.10.2024 at 23:59, there is time to submit your list. Failure to submit the list by 9.10.2024 at 23:59 will result in penalty points during the tournament. The list must include all cards.
Lists will be visible to other players at the start of the tournament, but command cards will remain hidden until the end of the event.
Note! We expect registration on Longshank by providing your first and last name. If you must use a nickname, please do so in the format: Michał 'Kalins' Kaliński. Otherwise, individuals without a provided first and last name will be removed from the list of players.
Setup of terrain and definition of areas:
The arrangement of tables is prepared by the judging and organizing individuals and may not be modified.
Each time before the game, a discussion about the terrain must take place and it must be defined for the purposes of the game. In case of disagreement between the players, the judging individuals will resolve disputes arbitrarily.
Models:
Any deviations from the Galactic Conquest rules, e.g., 3D printing, should be consulted with the organizer before the event.
Game rules:
We maintain order on the table at every stage of the game.
Before the end of turn 0, the table must be completely visible to both players.
During the game, it must be particularly clear which un-deployed unit has an order and tokens
Dice rolling should take place in a location visible to both players, and the dice may not be collected before confirmation of the roll by the other player.
We strongly encourage not to rotate surge results, but only to move to hit those surge results that are subject to conversion.
After the game, players must clean up their belongings before leaving the table. Any items left on the table at the time of announcing pairings for the next round may result in penalty points.
We play with one set of command tokens, and tokens may not be printed with the unit emblem.
In the tournament, we take into account Draw results (including Intentional Draw and standard ties).
It should be noted that each Intentional Draw must be reported to the judging individual by both players, stating the reason for wanting to take a draw. Taking a draw in the last round by players with a score of 6:0 will likely be treated as collusion and unsportsmanlike behavior and will result in an automatic loss for both players or disqualification.
Intentional play 'for a draw' when noticed by the judging individuals will be treated as an attempt to take an Intentional Draw without notification and will be punished with a warning, and subsequently an automatic loss for both players.
We play 7 rounds in a Swiss system, and the time limit for a single game is 2h 30min.
Players are warned about the end of the round 15 minutes before the end. After this signal, a new round cannot be started
After the basic 150 minutes, an additional 15 minutes will be added to finish the games, according to the Grand Tournament rules. After the additional 15 minutes, the so-called 'Dice Down' occurs, meaning an immediate end to the game. Performing or continuing any action and/or skill after 'Dice Down' should be reported and will be punished with an automatic loss.
All tables playing in the added time will be closely monitored by the judging individuals to exclude time play.
Time play, regardless of the stage of the game, should be reported to the judging individuals, and any such behavior will be strictly punished as a form of cheating. In the case of moderately experienced players, games should end at least in the 4th round. Experienced players should have no problem playing a full 5 rounds.
Failure to report the result within 5 minutes after the end of the round may result in a penalty for both players.
Judges have the right to apply the following penalty system to players and/or individuals present at the event location.
Possible penalties are:
1) Warning
2) Penalty points (modification of the game result to the detriment of the player at the judge's discretion)
3) Automatic loss of the battle and/or disqualification from the competition
The above penalties will apply in cases of unsportsmanlike behavior such as:
- Disrespectful treatment of players, organizers, judges, and bystanders
- Intentional misleading of a player, judge, and organizer
- Intentional disruption of the arrangement of models, terrain, and/or tokens on the table
- Collecting dice too quickly after a roll without verifying with the opponent
The above are just examples of unsportsmanlike behavior and are not an exhaustive list of penalized behaviors. Judges have the right to make decisions on imposing penalties at their discretion based on unsportsmanlike behavior.
