REGULATIONS OF THE ONE POEM TOURNAMENT
52nd Warsaw Autumn of Poetry
held on October 13, 2024, at 12:00 PM
- The tournament is addressed to all poets who are 18 years old on the day of the tournament, including members of professional writers' associations, such as the Polish Writers' Association and the Association of Polish Writers.
- Poems submitted to the tournament must not have been awarded in other tournaments or poetry competitions nor published in books, magazines, or the Internet.
- Poems must be written in Polish, which does not exclude foreign language insertions. The theme of the poems is arbitrary. Poems should not exceed 30 lines.
- Each author presents their poem during the tournament in printed form (typewritten or computer printout) and marked with their own first and last name. Poems do not need to be sent anywhere in advance; they must be available on the day of the tournament.
- The poems will be judged by a jury appointed by the organizer, which this year includes: Jerzy Jankowski, Marta Pelinko, Vladan Stamenković.
- The jury will award cash prizes totaling 1000 PLN (including 500 PLN for the 1st place).
- The jurors evaluate only the poems presented on the day of the tournament, without considering any other factors such as age, literary achievements, or place of residence.
- The One Poem Tournament will take place on October 13, 2024 (Sunday) at 12:00 PM in the auditorium of the House of Literature at 87/89 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street in Warsaw.
- A protocol will be drawn up from the tournament, and the awarded poems may be published on the websites of the ZLP and in magazines informing about the tournament results, to which the awarded authors consent by participating in the tournament.
- All ambiguities, controversies, and doubts will be resolved by the tournament jury. The jury's verdict is final. The only exception that may cause a change in the verdict is a violation of copyright law and the tournament regulations by the laureate.
